No — it's a Gen Z paraphrase. The original NIV translation is always shown alongside so you can see exactly what the verse says. We never change the theological meaning.
Is it really free?
Yes. The daily verse, reactions, bookmarks, and sharing are all free. The free tier includes a small recommendation from our family of apps. Premium ($2.99/mo) removes it and unlocks deeper devotionals, mood-matched verses, and audio mode.
Who makes this?
Berry App Labs — a small team that builds products for real people. The Gen Z translations are generated by AI and reviewed for theological accuracy.
How is my data used?
We use anonymized, aggregated data to create insights reports about Gen Z faith trends (e.g., "38% of users selected anxiety as a topic"). These reports are sold to churches and publishers. Your individual data — your name, email, specific reactions, and topic selections — is never sold or shared with anyone.
